CreativeMornings/Orlando is a FREE monthly breakfast lecture series based on the two core principles that everyone is creative and everyone is welcome. Each event includes a 30-minute lecture with Q&A and lots of coffee!

Orlando is one of over 250 chapters around the world meeting each month.

I was at the last Creative Morning, where Pat Greene was the speaker. The audience is generally made up of between 30 and 60 local creative people in all industries and levels of expertise, from recent college grads to seasoned veterans.

The organizer is Victor Davila, assisted by a team of volunteers. Each presentation is filmed and posted online. Victor thanked the sponsor of the breakfast (donuts and coffee) at the beginning and the end of the presentation.

It occurred to me that the Awesome Foundation could give a grant to sponsor breakfast. I asked Victor about it and he said breakfast costs between $100 and $200 per event (depending on expected attendance), which means a $1000 grant could sponsor between 5 and 10 monthly breakfast meetings.

Victor said that a representative from the AF could get up and say a few words about the org, which I feel would be a great way to get some new and more qualified applications.

It's a really great organization, and much like the AF, the Creative Mornings org is a worldwide collection of loosely-affiliated chapters who have a common goal and theme.
