A Propos
We are the Awesome Lower Hunter, a local chapter of a global movement that celebrates creativity, innovation, and community spirit. Covering the Maitland and Cessnock LGAs, we provide $1,000 no-strings-attached micro-grants each month to help fund awesome projects that make our community brighter, more connected, and more inclusive.
Our trustees are local people who are passionate about supporting grassroots ideas – whether it’s art, technology, community initiatives, social impact projects, or something wonderfully unexpected. If it’s awesome, we want to help make it happen!
We believe that small acts of generosity can spark big change. By empowering individuals and groups with the resources to bring their ideas to life, we’re helping the Lower Hunter thrive one project at a time.
