We want to take 60 disabled children/siblings & families to The Hayloft for a fully inclusive Christmas Experience. This is a 50 minute experience which includes a gift & train ride. Fun with the elves in their enchanting workshop, making magical reindeer food, a visit to the magical grotto to enjoy a story from Santa & receive their gift, then a train ride back.
We did this experience last year & it has to be one of the best. They allow us the whole place, nothing is too much trouble & they take their time taking photos & interacting with the children. It is a perfect set up for our disabled children many who are autistic & cant cope in crowded places. Feedback from last year was amazing. Families were so impressed with the standard of care received by the staff. The added bonus of it just being Friends families made the whole experience so magical. We want to create that experience again.
We cover families with SEND children from 0-25 who live in Liverpool City Region & the surrounding areas. We have over 1000 families registered with us & have a wide range of disabilities from autism, downs syndrome to complex genetic conditions.
We currently have very limited funds & this grant would really put smiles on children's faces this Christmas.
