Buenas Vibras is a Free Monthly First Friday event, in downtown Santa Cruz. The intention of this event is to bring diverse communities together by providing a welcoming, inclusive space. We play Latin & World music for 4 hours providing a free dance party that draws from many diverse groups within Santa Cruz. We often include a birthday celebration for anyone in the community who is celebrating their birthday but doesn't have adequate space to throw their own party at home. We even provide a birthday cake and sing to our birthday guests!

We would like to be able to keep this project free or donation based, so funds will be used to pay for sound equipment rental and to also pay our DJs and artists for their time and effort setting up/breaking down, hosting, and DJing the event. We believe artists need to be compensated for their work in the community and we want to make sure they can pay their bills and thrive in the current economic situation.
