Sing Out Sessions 2021

‘Sing Out Sessions 2021’ are community singing sessions held fortnightly in the Geelong West Neighbourhood House at 89 Autumn Street, Geelong West (in West Park).

Scheduled on Thursday evenings 7.30 - 9.00pm, the Sessions are led by an experienced and passionate song leader, Ceridwyn Gordon and designed to engage people of diverse backgrounds and sectors who do not normally identify with traditional choir singing.

With a strong local following of participants, the Sing Out Sessions involve engaging with a wide variety of songs of different genres, including Indigenous and world music as well as pop and traditional folk. The choice of songs will be based on the wishes and interests of the participants, so enhancing their enjoyment and empowering them.

Our aim is to foster a love of singing and gathering together as a community during this activity, rather than practising in order to perform at some point.
Participation is purposefully affordable at $5.00 per session, it is non-auditioned and no experience is necessary. As such, the aim is to create a welcoming and supportive environment to make it an inclusive and appealing activity.

Sing Out Sessions 2021 are an initiative by local grassroots group Sing Out Geelong Inc. for people wanting to sing a variety of songs in a fun and informal way with others.
