I WANT THIS SO BAD
I WANT THIS SO BAD is an experimental, cinematic reimagining of a televised modeling competition. Taking place in Cranston, WANT THIS SO BAD aims to examine suburbia, queer coming-of-age, girlhood, and 2000s societal norms. The project builds off works first created in 2006, when a 9 and 11-year old sister team created works that were eventually deleted from YouTube due to a music copyright infringement claim. Combining recently re-found footage, a newly adapted screenplay finishes out the course of the competition and its aftermath of the contestants’ makeshift queer utopia. New footage will be shot over the next six months with a small local crew.
