Coding Across the Curriculum

Montpelier School District is a rural district just south of Jamestown. We have 100 students PK-12. Our students are very hands on and in need of a curriculum that allows them to play and learn at the same time. This is why we are trying to bring coding across the curriculum. We want all of our students, PK-12, to have the opportunity to learn to code and to use that knowledge to help expand their futures. Coding is a skill that is needed within the workforce and we want our students to be able to take advantage of that possibility. The items that we want to purchase would allow students as young as 4 to start learning how to code. The same items will be used through our high school as the programing becomes harder but the same tools are used. These tools will jump start our coding and STEM programs at Montpelier School.
