Puzzler

The Puzzler project intends to solve the problem of our youth’s growing disconnect with Armenian art. The project aims to create a fun and interactive way to engage the youth with our rich culture. Art is one of the most significant aspects of our lives; it represents our individual and national identities. It is highly important to be aware of art and to be exposed to it. The Puzzler project aims to create digital puzzles displayed on a 27-inch touch screen placed in the Yeritasardakan Metro station. The digital puzzles will be of Armenian paintings by artists such as Ervand Kochar, Minas Avetisyan, Gayane Khachaturian, and many more. The screen will display a different painting each day the project runs. Every day people will be exposed to a new art piece. The various paintings exposed to the public every day will influence society by changing opinions, instilling values, and affecting the fundamental sense of self. These puzzles will be complex enough to require the effort of multiple people to complete them throughout the day, thus creating a sense of community in the process of solving the puzzle. On one corner of the screen next to the puzzles, there will be short information given about the paintings and the artists, giving the participants the opportunity to learn about the artists while solving the puzzle. The puzzles will be hard enough to be solved within a day. At the end of each day, the results of the puzzle will be posted on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. The result of the puzzle posted on social media will show people their contribution and will give further information about the painting and the artist. People will be able to share and use the hashtag #PuzzlersArmenia to indicate their participation in solving the puzzle of the day.
