In 2026 I launched Glenrock Ghost Fungus Tours to see glow-in-the-dark ghost mushrooms inside Glenrock State Conservation Area. The response has been amazing. The ghost fungus only blooms for a month each year. Local families have voted overwhelmingly that they want more nature offerings. As a result, I plan to develop a new tour: Black Light Nights.

This tour involves taking groups of 8-10 people into the Lake Macquarie Council side of Glenrock State Conservation Area at night with UV (black) torches. Plants, animals, insects and lichen all appear in neon colours under the black lights. This is a colour of the bush people have not seen before. Interpretation and all equipment will be provided.
