DragonTree: A Collective Dreaming Board Game

The Game

In 2016, a vision was set in motion: Could a board game embody the essence of Dragon Dreaming? Could play become a path to co-creation, collective intelligence, and regenerative action? The answer began to take form through sketches, storytelling, and experiments with participatory arts. Over the years, The DragonTree evolved, shaped by workshops, prototypes, and the wisdom of those who engaged with it.

The Quest

Now, in 2025, the time has come to bring this game to life. The DragonTree is entering its final stage, ready to be shared with the world as a tool for learning, playing, and transforming together. It is a game where winning means collaborating skillfully, where wisdom is gained through nimble, purposeful action, and where true success is only achieved as a collective.

The Forest

In this adventurous board game, four archetypal characters—The Magician, The Pioneer, The Bridge-Builder, and The Dragon Lady—embark on a journey toward the Earth Gate, a symbol of regenerative culture and collective flourishing. Along the way, they discover that their greatest challenge is not the obstacles ahead but their ability to collaborate effectively.

The Council

Each character has unique superpowers that allow them to move, support others, and influence the game dynamics. But only by working together can they reach the center and complete their quest. The game reflects Dragon Dreaming’s fourfold path—Dreaming, Planning, Doing, and Celebrating—where action is guided by deep listening, intuition, and shared vision

The Bridge
The game serves as a connector, linking players to global networks of place-based activism, Dragon Dreaming practitioners, and regenerative communities. It is Accessible to All Ages & Backgrounds, Merging arts, storytelling, and systems sensing, to invite intergenerational and intercultural participation for a win win win futures.
