June is National Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month....and school is out!

The Black Veg Society of Maryland (BVSMD) is pleased to announce its partnership with Changing Lives MD, The African Griot Book Fair and Safety city @ Druid Park in Keep It Fresh Fest presented by MECU Neighborhood Event Grants.

Keep It Fresh is a campaign for youth. The Keep It Fresh Fest is a free festival that will highlight plant-based culinary arts, organic gardening, music and environmental actions. You will need money to shop. Youth retail and prepackaged goods vendor registration is free. The youth must be manning their booth.

Please be mindful of the fact that this is a health and wellness event with the focus of minimizing the consumption of artificially sweet products, candies and junk foods. #KeepItFresh

Keep It Fresh Fest will feature:

  1. Workshops and speakers on live, vegan whole foods, organic gardening, and food as medicine
  2. African Griot Children's Books

  4. Yogis
  5. Environmental awareness
