We are overhauling our former Summer Solstice event into the first ever Portage Pickle Fest!

We are city full of foodies, and this has the potential to turn into a larger festival like Picklesburg. This first year, we are planning on a paneled blind taste test of different local restaurants' pickles, followed by a sampling for the public. We're hiring a "pickle slinger" to sell individual pickles with flair (keeping it PG). We're also trying to incorporate a pickleball element where folks can learn about the sport and sign up for leagues.

Pickle themed merchandise will be available from our artisan partners in The Portage Collective. We are recruiting for a drink and food vendor as well. We hope to host Unity Gardens to educate about pickling and fermentation classes.

The other shops on the block will be invited to pickle theme as much as they like.
