IHS Softball/Baseball Indoor Batting Cage

The Ipswich High School softball and baseball teams are collaborating to raise money to get an indoor batting cage system for the high school gym!

With our spring seasons beginning in March, our outdoor fields aren't in very good shape. They're muddy and wet from melting snow and frequent rain, which makes it hard to practice on. Instead, we often practice indoors at the high school gym. However, it's difficult to live hit or even pitch indoors, with the risk of damaging the gymnasium.

The indoor batting cage is a large net system, which would be easy to set up inside the gym for practices. We'd be able to live hit off of a pitching machine or warm up our pitchers without risking damage to the gym or other players. It would help improve the quality of our practices on rainy days, where in the past we would not have as productive of practices indoors.
