The Light At the End of the Tunnel

The Light At the End of the Tunnel is a historical documentary that details the lives of 4 individuals- three of whom where escaped slaves from the US - that came to London in the mid 1800's and made (unknowing) contributions to the ideals of Multiculturalism that we know Canada for today. These individuals are largely unknown to the public, and our documentary plans to utilize historical photos, newspaper articles, interviews with local (and non-local) history experts, and modern footage of the areas these individuals lived/worked in to tell the full story and show the impact these individuals had on building a civilized society, almost entirely set in the city of London itself. The individuals' stories we've found are inspiring, heartbreaking, hopeful, and so much more.

We hope that when the documentary is complete it will give London a proud place in not only Canadian history, but also Black History as well as being an "untold chapter" of the Underground Railroad.
