Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Right

ICIRR is dedicated to promoting the rights of immigrants and refugees to full and equal participation in the civic, cultural, social, and political life of our diverse society.

ICIRR was created in 1986 in response to President Reagan signing into law the Immigration Reform and Control Act, ICIRR has been at the forefront of helping immigrants realize and contribute to the dream that is America. That includes advocating for services with the state, county and city to treat immigrants as the people they are, and working to get immigrants access to apply for status or American citizenship.

In recent months, ICIRR has been coordinating the Family Support Network to connect immigrant communities throughout Illinois to a full range of support in collaboration with member organizations. ICIRR has also been running the ICE sighting and ICE detention support hotlines, 1-855-435-7693.

Together we continue to demand ICE out of Chicago, out of Cicero, and out of Illinois.
