Micheaux Film Festival

The Micheaux Film Festival is a multicultural film festival that showcases and celebrates diverse representation in the entertainment landscape, while cultivating an environment that gives artists and the community an opportunity to tell their unique stories.

Founded by Emmy-nominated creators of color, Noel Braham and Courtney L. Branch, the festival presents an equal opportunity environment for content creators and their works, highlighting their individualism and uniqueness, and celebrating diverse representation both in front of and behind the camera.

Our mission is to provide a curated space for artists to build relationships with future collaborators in the television, film, and digital sphere, while also offering a platform for the community to learn, celebrate and support artists on a local and global scale.

We recognized the need in the filmmaking community for a place where all are welcomed, embracing diversity as a way of life, and championing independence.

We invite all aspects of individualism and uniqueness including; race, color, religion, sex, national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, age, parental status, military service, or other non-merit factor.

We are a yearly film festival, with quarterly virtual programming, in light of covid-19. We would love for you to contribute to our movement as we advocate for greater diversity within the filmmaking community.
