ROOT-ed Zine is a quarterly magazine for creatives of colour in the North West of England. The magazine was co-founded by myself and Fauziya Johnson in 2018. We've decided to dedicate an issue fo ROOT-ed to the topic of work as right now too many of us are out of work/ furloughed/ working from home etc due to the pandemic. We really want this issue to be a release for all those who are experiencing difficulty in work and I think it will be a useful resource in the future that represents the normally underrepresented voices in our society. We also want to create a programme of art crits around the issue were creatives will be able to meet regularly and share their artwork and receive feedback, advice and also network with fellow creatives.
