New storage shed at Evans Field

Four students from our Technology/Design class would like to construct a new storage shed. This project would not only educate students on how structures are built, but also open up new doors to students who would like to peruse possible careers in construction/contracting. Our project will benefit the entire community. Evans Field, which is where the new shed will replace, the old storage shed next to the dugout, is a central location where many different people from Rockport go to enjoy all levels of baseball games, youth soccer games, sled in the winter, and use year round for any other activities they have in mind. The field equipment tools are vital in the upkeep of the field so all may use it. The lack of a fully functional storage shed for the equipment puts stress on the tools that leads to unnecessary replacements. A well constructed shed would essentially eliminate these problems and will allow better protection from the elements which will lead to longer usage for tools.
