About Us

We are passionate about bringing ideas to life. We’ve seen entire movements of thought, joy, and action spark from the simplest and craziest of ideas.

So each month we’re giving the funding and encouragement to launch an idea into the world. A $1000, no-strings-attached grant to do something awesome for our Raleigh community.

Our chapter defines "Awesome" as: A specific, public, and catalytic project that sparks joy and thought in a meaningful way for the Raleigh community!

In other words applications that contain the following project criteria have the best chance of being selected:

• The project is joyful!
• The project has a specific start/end or launch date that is within the year.
• The final product/activity is public and available for all to enjoy.
• The final product/activity is in the Raleigh community specifically.
• The project scale can be achieved with the $1,000 grant vs. the $1,000 going toward a larger funding need.

We do not claim ownership or future rights to your project, nor do we wish the funds to be repaid. We just want to see how awesome you can be with your idea and some money to begin.
