About Us

Halifax's first grant event took place on February 29, 2012...on the 366th day, there was awesome! We launched with a banner event, complete with homemade s'mores, beer sampling and a ukelele performance. Since then, we've been going strong, receiving more than 20 submissions every month and feeding the good people of Halifax everything from gourmet popcorn to homemade chicken soup.

We also do things a bit differently than some of the other chapters. We have 30 trustees and we break into three teams of 10, rotating on a monthly basis. Those amazing people are:
