Coats for Kids is a project run completely by volunteers with the North Newmarket Lions club and the Lioness Club of Newmarket. A member of our club has donated the use of his commercial property rent free for the year to allow our clubs to collect, store and distribute winter coats, boots, gloves and mitts to those in need in our community. Last year we provided around 1500 winter coats to children in our community. We open the store on Wednesday mornings and Saturday mornings. There is no charge to the community or to the recipients of these new and near new coats.

All labour including buying, sorting by size, and cleaning of the facility is done for free by members of the lions community.
