We love Worms!

Our urban students are just beginning to learn the benefits of organic composting and farming in the left over spaces in our city block school. Even the smallest plot of land can be renewed and brought back to soil health by conditioning the soil with clean compost and organic recycling. We would like to start a vermiculture bin in our classroom. This bin will start out with only about 200 little red wigglers who will eat half their weight in leftovers from our school lunches. We are excited to create healthy, nutrient rich compost to add tour small plots of land, such as our Peace Garden and our butterfly garden. A worm bin is a wonderful way to learn how to care for our world.
