Black Girls Do Bike: Pittsburgh

We want to encourage all women to take up riding, our focus just happens to be African American women who are 1. Under-represented in the larger cycling community and who are 2. Statistically more likely than their peers to be overweight or obese and suffer from heart disease, diabetes and hypertension. We encourage women to pay it forward and bring friends, family, and coworkers along for the ride. We foster a supportive environment for new riders with monthly "no drop" rides. And if you belong to a Black Girls Do Bike group then finding a riding partner(s) for a spontaneous ride can be just a post away.
