Celebrating DC Women in Technology 2015

Celebrating DC Women in Technology is an event that has stemmed from an article written about the many qualified and excelling--yet clearly under recognized--tech women in DC. After publication, the article went viral, highlighting the need for solidarity and connection among and between these women.

The event came from that groundswell - a chance to celebrate all of these women across the area, as well as to merge other subgroups (such as Lesbians Who Tech, TechladyMafia) into one united front with a common goal: acknowledging women in technology and getting more women into the field.

The goal of the event is to bring together the powerful and successful tech women in DC. The event is meant to build a stronger platform for these DC techies and to open up a space for communication and connection. So many women are doing incredible things in the world of technology, and recognition for their tireless work is long overdue.
