Turning To One Another Skills Building

Turning To One Another (TTOA) Working Group is for people living with HIV at the AIDS Committee of Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo & Area. The most important direction for this group is skills building. There are some who would like to re-enter the workforce and others who are older want to build their capacity in order to volunteer out in the community.

TTOA members not only want to educate themselves but also provide workshops in the community to help break the stigma of those living with HIV.

Our PHA Capacity Development Program is for those living with HIV and the Turning To One Another Project is a chance for those living with HIV to turn to each for support and viable program and project ideas. Their goal is to build their capacity to lead these workshops and find ways to remove the barriers of stigma and discrimination.
We are currently learning how the Social Determinants of Health play a large part in HIV infections and this is one of the community workshops they would like to create.
